Mike O’Brien joined Mission Critical Group in April 2024 after the Point Eight Power acquisition, where he served as Corporate Counsel. As Vice President and General Counsel, he oversees legal, risk, and compliance matters, providing strategic guidance to support the company’s objectives.

Mike started his legal career in private practice, specializing in energy and maritime law and handling transactional, regulatory, and litigation cases. He is an experienced trial attorney with a JD from Loyola University Law School of New Orleans (2001) and a bachelor’s degree in political science from Iowa State University (1998). Outside of work, Mike volunteers as a recreational coach for flag football, basketball, soccer, and baseball and officiates high school football as a NFHS certified official and member of the Greater New Orleans Football Officials Association.
